Our Values
Our aim is to address the critical lack of representation and diversity in the legal cannabis industry. We believe that the industry is responsible for creating meaningful opportunities for those most impacted by issues related to cannabis.
People of colour are systemically and disproportionately criminalized for issues relating to cannabis. Indigenous and Black Canadians are arrested and prosecuted for cannabis-related offences at a much higher rate than their white counterparts. We are actively supporting groups that have been disproportionately and systemically targeted and aim to eliminate barriers for people with cannabis related offences on their records. As an agency for the legalized cannabis industry, our goal is to lead by creating opportunities for POCs to command our deserved space through jobs, mentorship programs and equity opportunities. We aim to do so while also championing small-medium independent businesses in an industry that is becoming dominated by large corporations.
